This past September, we shared the big news that Clearspan had acquired AveriStar. One common theme we are getting asked is what it might mean for you, our customers.
At its core, this merger is about making things better, faster, and easier for the organizations we serve. Whether you are a service provider, a large enterprise, or a public sector organization, this move is designed to help us serve you more effectively and deliver even greater value.
Clearspan and AveriStar have always been aligned in vision and mission. We were already working to solve many of the same challenges in enterprise and carrier communications—and often building similar solutions in parallel. That’s one of the primary factors as to why we first started talking to each other. Now, we are combining forces to create a smarter, more streamlined approach that will help our customers.
For instance, we will have more solutions available for you. Right off the bat, Clearspan brings a brandable, best-in-class mobile and desktop client and POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) replacement solutions. These will soon be available across the AveriStar customer base once testing is completed. Additionally, AveriStar’s ECCR (Enhanced Call Center Reporting) replacement module will eventually be part of Clearspan’s offerings, strengthening the platform for everyone.
From a product perspective, we will continue to offer both UCaaS solutions but eventually will consolidate the UCaaS add-on product roadmap. Therefore, we will have more people and more resources dedicated to improving your experience. You will benefit from:
Ultimately this M&A creates a stronger Clearspan. In addition to the above, AveriStar was a healthy company in good financial condition, and combining this with Clearspan creates a strong company that you can count on to be around in the future! We also support the two largest US Service Providers post-acquisition (Clearspan had one, AveriStar brings the other one), which means we have better revenue diversification going forward. Again, this strengthens our Market position with Service Providers, Large Enterprises, and Government customers.
